Reported Activity:
Clients reported activity spanning at least four years, starting in an old house that had burned down two years ago and was later replaced with a house trailer in the same spot, which they currently live in. Claims of activity included strange sensations, strange marks appearing on one of the clients, seeing what the clients believe were apparitions, anomalous objects showing up in digital pictures and hearing voices. The clients also presented a video from a local paranormal investigation group, who claim they captured a sheet being pulled off one of the children by some unknown entity, a laugh recorded in the master bedroom, and a small white flash captured in the hallway on video. During the time of the event, the client reports that the investigation team left their equipment running while the family slept and left the residence until morning.

Conclusion:
Investigators from ThePPA analyzed the video that was presented by the client, which reportedly contained several clips of a sheet being pulled off a young child from her left side in the camera shot as she slept. The time of the first clip indicated it was recorded at 2:04 AM. It is quite obvious that there is something under the sheet (most probably a string) pulling it towards the bottom of the bed. The second clip is only ten minutes later, but shows the covers neatly pulled back up to the child neck and the child is still in the same position as earlier. This time the sheet can be seen being pulled from the right of the child in the camera shot and only runs for about five seconds. The last clip is about an hour later. Again, the sheet is pulled back up to the child’s neck and appears as if something under the covers is pulling the sheet down on the right side of the child, towards the end of the bed. At one point during this movement, a loud snap can be heard and the tension point on the sheet jumps back in the opposite direction, as if a string snapped, and the video then ends.

The laugh that was reportedly captured in the master bedroom was analyzed next and, after being compared to recorded audio from our investigation, it is believed to be a barking dog outside the residence.

Finally, the white flash that appeared on video in the hallway is believed to be common dust that always shows up on camera under infrared lighting.

Taking into account that the client denies any involvement in the video, it is the opinion of ThePPA that this was a fraudulent video submitted to the client by the local paranormal group and can not be considered viable proof of a haunting.

During our investigation of this property, we had an occurrence where one of our motion sensors activated three times within a minute time period. No one was in the residence at the time and we later discovered this event during the review of the DRV recordings. This alone does not constitute paranormal activity, but we could not find any reason for the activations.

A final factor in this investigation was information obtained during an interview with the clients that drug use was occurring or had occurred by the clients, which may be a contributing cause for anxiety and other psychological experiences, such as hearing voices or seeing things move.

No proof of paranormal activity or a haunting was discovered on this particular investigation date, but at the request of the client, we are putting her in touch with an outside source for spiritual counseling.
