(Mobile with Team 1) This device recorded unusual K2 EMF meter
activity in the end room to the right of the basement stairwell on
three separate visits throughout the night. During EVP (Electronic
Voice Phenomenon) questioning sessions, the K2 would seemingly
respond to questions at times but failed to respond at other times.
Despite the inconsistency in responses to questioning, the fact that
the K2 was so active with no known source was interesting in itself.
Many prior sweeps of this area revealed no EMF fields or
fluctuations. At the time of the activity, EMF’S measured from 1.0
to 20+ milligauss. This activity was backed up by a second K2 meter
to rule out any malfunctions. **Also
refer to below EMF (Electro-magnetic Field) section.
Note: All video recordings have been provided to the client but will not be posted as per confidentiality agreement.
Photographs: No
photos of evidential value were discovered.
EMF (Electro
Magnetic Field):
Standard
baseline readings were taken throughout the building and outlying
areas with expected spikes near electrical appliances.
During
EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) questioning sessions in the end
room to the right of the basement stairwell in the basement on Day#2,
a K2 EMF meter would seemingly respond to questions at times but
failed to respond to questions at other times. Despite the
inconsistency in responses to questioning, the fact that the K2 was
so active with no known source was interesting in itself. Many prior
sweeps of this area revealed no EMF fields or fluctuations. This
activity was backed up by a second K2 meter to rule out any
malfunctions. **Also refer to above Camcorder#3 section.
Investigator
Feelings / Experiences: DAY#1
Mark
– while taking the initial tour of the building, Mark felt chills
go up his spine in several areas of the basement.
Lauren
– while on the 2nd
floor, sitting in the hallway cubby at 9:04PM, Lauren felt as if
something brushed the back of her hand and made the hairs stand up.
Tim
– while
in the end room to the right of the stairwell with Chris, Tim
had the feeling that there was a presence with them. After asking a
few questions, K2 EMF activity began occurring and Tim felt this
presence more strongly and felt a breeze on the back of his neck.
Chris
– while
in the basement in an area to the right of the stairwell around
12:47AM, Chris reported hearing what sounded like a radio off in the
distance and something that sounded like a moan.
DAY#2
Mark
– None
Tim
– while
in the basement “clothing storage room” around 9:10PM, Tim
thought he saw something moving on several occasions but when he
turned to look, nothing was there. A short time later, K2 EMF meter
activity was noted and Tim had cold chills so bad he had to rub his
neck. A few minutes later in the far end room of the basement, Tim
once had the feeling of a presence that accompanied significant K2
EFM meter activity that seemingly responded to some questioning.
Later in the night, Tim returned to this room around 11:45PM with
Jenn and had an even stronger feelings that there was a
presence with them. The K2 meter seemed to react to almost every
question on this sweep. Tim called for Mark to bring a camcorder and
then felt as if something rushed passed him. The K2 activity seemed
to decrease significantly after that point.
Paulette
– had the feeling that someone was standing at the top of the
stairs on the second floor watching her as she was sitting down
below.
Jenn
– while in a second floor office at 10:30PM, Jenn stated she saw
what looked like a head and shoulders pop out from a side room and
block out part of the hallway that was lit at the far end.
Conclusion:
During
the course of this two night investigation, investigators had many
personal experiences and feelings in various areas of the building. A
few unusual events of significance took place, such as a copy machine
turning on by itself, rapid battery drain on three different pieces
of equipment and a motion detector activation when no one was in the
building. Our teams experienced significant K2 EMF meter activity,
notably in the basement far right end that seemed to react to
questioning at times but failed to react at other times. The mere
fact that the K2 meter was active in this location in itself was
interesting being that there is no identifiable source that could be
found and it did not occur consistently as it should from a natural
source.
With
the variety of events that took place at this location, ThePPA feels
that there is some type of activity occurring that is “above the
normal” or "paranormal" but there is not enough physical evidence at
this time to conclude that a haunting is taking place. ThePPA will
continue to work with the clients upon request to conduct
further on site studies of the activity and attempt to identify the
origin of the intermittent high EMF fields Back to "Case Files" |
