This is a two story residence occupied by two adults, four children, one dog, one cat and two birds.


Reported Activity:

Claims of activity include seeing a little boy in the home, the sound of two adults having a conversation is often heard but the words can not be understood clearly. Family members often see a shadow of a person move across the hall from one room to another. The sound of footsteps could be heard from the basement walking on the kitchen and living room floor when no one is present in those rooms. Objects have been seen moving in the home with no apparent cause and the adults have been awakened from sleep in their bed from their bed shaking for no known reason. The sound of dishes clanking in the sink has also been experienced with no one there.

VR2 (Digital Voice Recorder: Stationary in kitchen)  At 11:55PM, this device captured an EVP that neither the investigators nor the clients, who were present at the time, heard. The voice sounds like a young boy trying to get his mother’s attention by saying, “Mom” just as Mark is advising the clients to start a log of activity. The Voice can be heard at 8 seconds into the clip.  No children were present at the residence during the investigation

EMF (Electro Magnetic Field):
Standard baseline readings were taken throughout the building with expected spikes near electrical appliances.
No anomalous EMF’S detected.



Investigator Feelings / Experiences:
Mark – Nothing to report
Paulette – while in the middle bedroom of the main floor, Paulette was sitting alone for some time and suddenly got the chills and a creepy kind of feeling. She was quite comfortable up to this point. 
Al – Kept getting chills near doorway to master bedroom every time he walked in or out.



Conclusion:

During the several hours spent at this home on this particular date, investigators were able to rule out any high EMF fields as an alternative cause for activity. No fields above the norm were detected. The cause of the voices being heard could not entirely be identified but two factors came in to play during this investigation. While one investigator walked around the yard talking with the clients, investigators inside the house could not hear the conversations taking place outside. Sound travels well at night and initial thoughts were that outside conversations may be heard from inside the home. Although we still can not completely rule this out, it did not seem to be the case on this particular night. Secondly, one of our recorders picked up and EVP of what sounds like a little boy in the kitchen area of the house. This would add some validity to the reports that the voices are coming from within the house rather than outside. It also validates the claims by the family that they have seen a young boy in the past and the arm and hand of a small child more recently.

The only personal experience noted on this night were of Al and Paulette getting the chills in the bedroom areas of the home on the main floor. No other activity was observed along with those feelings.

Based on one EVP being captured, ThePPA feels that at least two of the claims of the clients may be validated, that being the sound of voices from inside the house and the report of seeing a little boy, but that alone does not give enough factual evidence to determine if a haunting is taking place at this time. It does give sufficient cause to investigate further to try and determine if there is an active or residual haunting taking place or if some other type of paranormal activity is causing the events.
