Reported Activity:
The client has lived at this location for 15 years and has experienced sporadic activity at all times of the day since moving in. Claims of activity include hearing voices, music, knocks, banging and footsteps. The clients have seen unexplained lights and shadows. The clients have reported hearing a long deceased parakeet playing with bells and chattering. The clients have reported seeing their deceased cat and have stated at times, it feels like the cat jumps up onto their bed. At other times, the clients stated they feel their bed shaking.

EMF (Electro-Magnetic Field):
Standard baseline readings were taken throughout the home with expected spikes near electrical appliances. Very high and constant EM fields were measured in the master bedroom and daughter's bedroom believed to be caused by the electrical wiring in this home. Alarm clocks near the head of both beds added to the high fields in those areas. High pulsating fields were measured in the second floor back room coming from a computer modem. Elevated fields were also measured in the attic towards the front of the home. No anomalous readings were detected during the investigation.

Investigator Feelings / Personal Experiences:
Mark- Had two occasions of getting the chills in the master bedroom with some pressure on head
Lauren- Got the chills in the master bedroom
Paulette- Got the chills in the master bedroom with some pressure in her ear
Virginia- Nothing to report

Psychic Impressions:
When Virginia initially entered the home, she immediately felt a presence. Virginia felt this presence to be angry and confused, trying to get some sort of attention. Virginia felt this spirit was coming from the right side of the home of which there is another home attached to the right side of this home. Virginia believed the name of this Spirit was JJ. Virginia also picked up on a few of the previous owners names and felt that they were sometimes also present but just passing through and not haunting the home. Virginia related that she communicated with the spirit of a past owner who claims he witnessed a famous hanging. Outside and around the home, Virginia felt the presence of coal miners, soldiers, and underground railroad activity. Virginia also felt a cemetery from days gone by was somewhere behind the house. Virginia also feels that the client, herself is somewhat sensitive to different levels of energy and can pick up on them more than most people. Virginia felt that the client has done some type of work trying to communicate with spirit and the client confirmed that.

Conclusion:
Based on the investigation from this one particular night, investigators were not able to come to a definitive conclusion on the type and scope of activity that is reported by the clients. A larger than normal amount of investigators reported getting the chills, all in the master bedroom with Mark and Paulette also reporting a type of pressure being felt on their heads. This may be explained by the high EM fields that are present in that area. Large EM fields were also noted in the secondary bedroom on the second floor and in the attic and second floor back room. These fields can cause a person to experience a lot of perceived paranormal events and should be considered when some experiences happen and weighed against other causes when future experiences occur. The high fields are believe to be the result of electrical wiring present in the home combined with electrical devices that cast a large field, such as the alarm clocks near each bed. To completely rule out these fields as a cause of the experiences, the wiring would have to be replaced and the electrical devices removed from those areas to minimize the exposure to the family to see if the activity subsides. To complicate matters, high EM fields are believed to magnify paranormal activity if a spirit or residual energy was in the home allowing the occupants to more readily see or hear the activity. This could explain the sighting of the deceased family cat and hearing the chatter of their deceased parakeet in the form of residual energy.

Looking at Psychic Medium Virginia Centrillo's impressions of the home, Virginia felt that there was at least one Earth bound spirit at this location and more that passed through. With one of the clients being sensitive to and focusing on this energy, it could cause an increase in activity and help to keep the Earth bound spirit “stuck” at this location. Virginia, with the help of PPA members tried to cross JJ over but the owner was reluctant to let him go. Virginia communicated with JJ to help him cross over, but only time will tell if he decides to go. Virginia did not feel any other spirit that comes to this location needed any help moving on and did not feel they were harmful in any way.

After arrival at this home, the client informed The PPA that we were the fourth paranormal team that she had come in to investigate. As with conducting repetitive evp sessions or using a Ouija board, doing repetitive paranormal investigations at a location can also cause activity to increase by essentially turning the home into a known place for spirit to come and communicate. While nothing particularly bad is thought to be currently at this location, too much focus on this type of intent to call on spirit may draw in lower level energy and run the risk of pulling in something negative which can later cause unwanted issues. Being that the client is comfortable with spirit activity, The PPA recommends honoring the spirits that are present when they appear to the client with a friendly acknowledgment and then let them go on their way.
