Location Status:
Occupied, four bedroom ranch with a finished basement built in 1997

Reported Activity:
The clients have been at this property for almost 14 years and starting noticing the activity in the last few months on a daily basis. The activity peeks between 9 P.M. and 12 A.M., but occurs at all times of the day. Experiences include seeing apparitions/shadow people and smelling out of place odors, such as cigarette smoke in the home, which has never been smoked in. On one occasion, the clients observed a young child walk across the hallway from one bedroom to another. On other occasions, the clients would feel that they were not alone and have heard banging coming from a basement storage room with no know cause. By having an investigation, the client hoped to get some answers as to who or what was there and see what can be done about stopping the activity.

EMF (Electro-Magnetic Field):
Standard baseline readings were taken throughout the building with expected spikes near electrical appliances. No anomalous EMF spikes were detected during the investigations.

Investigator Feelings / Personal Experiences:
Mark - While with Virginia in the family room later in the night, Mark witnessed a gray light anomaly move from left to right very quickly. Without knowing about Mark's experiece, Virginia psychically picked up on the energy of a male spirit and stated that it moved in the same direction as the anomoly that Mark had just witnessed.

Virginia - While sitting in the basement hallway with Mark, Virginia was leaning against a doorway going into the toy storage room and physically felt someone touch her shoulder. A short time later, Virginia stated she had a sensation as if someone had blown onto her ear with a warm breath.

Psychic Impressions:
Upon entering the home, Virginia felt she needed to go toward the bedrooms. As Virginia proceeded toward the bedrooms, she heard a woman calling a man’s name over and over again. As Virginia questioned the owner, the owner revealed that the woman’s name Virginia gave her was that of her Mother-in-Law and that the person she was calling was her Father-in-Law.

Virginia determined that the Mother-in-Law was not earthbound, but just wanted her Daughter-in-Law to know she was in the home and was doing something she was known to do in order to prove it was her. The Father-in-Law is still alive and the Mother-in-Law told Virginia she visits him in Florida. The client did confirm that her Father-in-Law moved to Florida.

As Virginia continued walking though the house, she picked up a male entity who, at one time, was a coal miner, and then owned a farm on or near the property. Virginia also picked up residual energy moving through and around the home and property. Virginia felt a great deal of residual activity present in the basement area.

Virginia was told by the owner that she and her Husband have both seen a child running around the home on different occasions. Given that information, Virginia tried to contact this child while in the basement near the toy room. When
Virginia made contact, the little boy entity poked her on her right side and then blew into her ear and asked her if she was real.

During the investigation on this particular date, investigators were not able to document any physical evidence at this home. A couple of personal experiences were noted during the night by investigators. As most of the activity being observed by the clients is sensory, as opposed to physical, it is difficult to explore alternate explanations for the activity. It may be likely that the clients are open to the energies in the home. High EMF fields were ruled out as a cause of unusual feelings in the home and not believed to be a factor in the clients perceptions. Scientifically, the results of this investigation are inconclusive.

From a metaphysical perspective, Virginia believes that, due to the owner of this home suffering an injury, the owner’s psychic ability was activated, which the owner believes she had when she was a child. With this new opening of awareness, the owner is able to attract many lost souls who need help to cross over. Virginia was able to explain this to the owner and give her some guidance regarding how to harness her Psychic/Medium abilities. The owner did agree to seek out information which would help her with this gift. After the investigation was complete, with help from the PPA, Virginia was able to cross over the entities who needed to cross. The PPA will continue to monitor the home for any continued activity but with the possibility that the client is open to spiritual energy, she may experience additional activity at this location and others.
