Occupied two story residence split into two apartments built in 1898 with walk-in attic and basement.

Reported Activity:
The clients have lived in this residence since February of 1996 and have been noticing activity since about 2009. Claims of activity include seeing shadows, water turning on by itself in the kitchen, being touched by something, objects being thrown down the stairs, a large amount of pet deaths in a short period of time and general creepiness and uneasy feelings in certain areas of the home. The activity is very sporadic and occurs mainly at night. By having an investigation, the clients hope to learn what exactly is in the house and to have it move on or figure out why it started "acting out" and if it had anything to do with the animal deaths.

Camcorder #1: Mobile with investigators – At 9:20pm, this device recorded what sounds like a female voice while Mark and Bob were in the basement discussing activity possibilities. Both investigators heard the voice. The voice sounded like it came from in the basement and Mark and Bob reacted to it by turning their heads in the direction of the sound. Investigator and outside contamination were ruled out. At the same time this event occurred, Paulette's camcorder turned off by itself as it was recording on the second floor with Paulette and Virginia present.  Listen at 4 seconds.  Use headphones for a better sound.

No photos of evidential value were discovered.

EMF (Electro-Magnetic Field):
Standard baseline readings were taken throughout the home with expected spikes near electrical appliances. Elevated readings were discovered throughout the entire residence on each floor, including the basement and attic and are believed to be caused by old wiring in the home. These high levels would certainly account for the creepy feelings that people were feeling and possibly some of the visual perceptions, such as seeing shadows moving. No anomalous readings were detected.

Investigator Feelings / Personal Experiences:
Mark/Bob: While in the basement at 9:20PM, Mark and Bob heard a sound that resembled a woman's voice coming from a smaller side room just off the main basement room. The origin of the sound could not be located.

Paulette/Virginia: While investigating on the second floor, Paulette's camcorder turned off for an unknown reason as it was in the process of recording with a full battery charge. This occurred at the same time Mark and Bob heard the voice sound in the basement.

Psychic Impressions:
When Virginia first arrived at the home and as she sat in her car waiting to go into the home, a lost soul came to her and said, “I shot myself, now what do I do”. This lost soul followed Virginia into the home and stayed with her for most of the initial walk-through.

As Virginia began the initial walk-through with the homeowner, she felt the house was split somehow. The client confirmed the home use to be a single family home but now it is a two family property with an upper and lower apartment. As Virginia walked to the front of the home, she felt a man moving from the back of the house towards the front. Virginia believed this man’s name was “George”. As Virginia continued the walk-through with the client, she began picking up more names including Helen, who was the homeowner's grandmother. Helen spoke about a David, who is Helen’s son, and the client’s father, who is still alive. The spirit of Helen also gave Virginia the name of the girl who used to live upstairs and who reported seeing shadows. The tenant’s name and her experiences were confirmed by the client. Virginia also picked up on a spirit of a young girl named “Emma” who was from the early 1900’s. Emma told Virginia that she died from a blood problem. Virginia feels the illness was Diabetes. Emma was between 15 to 18 years old when she past. Virginia picked up on a man named “Conrad” who also was from the early 1900’s. Virginia proceeded to the second floor where she picked up a female spirit with a “J” name who talked about the client, the client’s husband and also the “J” names own husband who were still alive. The client confirmed who the “J” name was. The “J” name came to say sorry to the client and the client understood what this meant. What Virginia felt she was picking up on was a lot of residue from drug use in the second floor apartment. Virginia felt that this drug use left behind a lot of darkness/shadow like tar on the walls. When Virginia reached the attic, she kept picking up energy coming from the back of the home from a nearby cemetery. Virginia also picked up on a suicide by gunshot coming from behind the home and several other names including Sarah, Charles, Catherine, Henry, Jane, Elizabeth and Joe/Joseph. Virginia also picked up a lot of coalminers and American Indian spirits passing through the home and neighborhood. Virginia felt that not all the names she picked up on belong to the home but was more like a wave of energy that was coming from the cemetery behind the home bringing the souls through and then out again. Virginia received that the whole block was having some sort of spirit visitation from time to time.

During the investigation, the spirit “George” came in with another person named “Marvin” who stayed in the background. George began telling Virginia how important the neighborhood was and the history of the area. The information was confirmed by the PPA’S Historian, Kelly Kalb including information on three suicides by gunshot that occurred in this area

Conclusion:
On this particular date, investigators were able to identify that a large portion of the residence had high electromagnetic fields (EMF'S) throughout the house. The high fields were indicative of the type of old wiring that was still in the home. During periods of sensitivity to these fields, a person could have a variety of feelings mimicking paranormal experiences such as the feeling they are not alone, the chills, creepy feelings, seeing something out of the corner of their eye and more. During times when these experiences are felt, the high EMF'S should be taken into consideration.

Investigators also noted a lot of light play in the second floor apartment where outside light from street traffic causes a variety of shadow effects and light movement in the apartment. This combined with the high EMF'S could cause a person to believe they are seeing unnatural shadows within the apartment as reported.

Investigators did have two unusual experiences during the investigation. While investigating in the second floor apartment, at 9:20pm, Paulette's camcorder turned off for no apparent reason. At the same time, Mark and Bob heard what sounded like a woman's voice in the basement which was captured on their camcorder audio. Although unusual and falling into the paranormal category, there was no other physical evidence to definitively support that a haunting was taking place. Additional research would be needed to come to a positive conclusion to confirm or dismiss a haunting at this location.

Psychic Medium Virginia Centrillo performed a crossing for those spirits who she felt were earthbound at this location, including the male energy who claimed he shot himself and stayed with Virginia throughout the investigation. Virginia also gave instructions to the client on how to keep the energy up in the home and how to help lighten up and remove the stagnant, negative energy of the drug use that was left behind on the second floor. This negative energy may have contributed in part to the high amount of animal deaths at this location but it is not believed to be a direct cause in itself. The PPA will monitor the home for any additional activity.
