Reported Activity:
The clients have lived at this home for the past 6 years and the activity has been going on for about the same amount of time.  The activity occurs mostly at night on a daily basis.  The clients report seeing shadows, having things being moved then put back in place and having all around weird feelings in the home.  The clients report that when friends or family come to the house, they seem to get a feeling of tiredness and claim the house does not feel right.

By having an investigation, the clients hope to identify what is there and to help them decide whether or not to move if there is something there to worry about.

AUDIO ANALYSIS:
VR1 - Digital Voice Recorder: Stationary in the master bedroom with a dynamic microphone

VR2 - Digital Voice Recorder: Stationary in the living room with a dynamic microphone – This device captured a snapping sound at 11:45PM much like the sound of snapping fingers.  No source for the sound could be identified and the sound did not originate from outside.  The snap was heard by all four investigators of the team while helping Virginia do a release of a trapped spirit and each member agreed that it sounded like it occurred right in the room with them.  Refer to Psychic Impressions below for additional information.  The snap can be heard at 9 seconds into the clip.

VR3 - Digital Voice Recorder: Stationary in the second floor hallway – This device captured the above snapping sound at 11:45PM
VR4 - Digital Voice Recorder: Stationary in the daughter’s second floor bedroom
VR5 - Digital Voice Recorder: Stationary in the Kitchen – This device captured the above snapping sound at 11:45PM
VR6 - Digital Voice Recorder: Stationary in the basement
VR7 - Digital Voice Recorder: Mobile with investigators
VR8 - Digital Voice Recorder: Stationary outside, front (Control Device)
VR9 - Digital Voice Recorder: Stationary outside, rear (Control Device)

Photographs:
No photos of evidential value were discovered.

EMF (Electro-Magnetic Field):
Standard baseline readings were taken throughout the home with expected spikes near electrical appliances.  No anomalous readings were detected.  No levels of concern detected.

Investigator Feelings / Personal Experiences:
Mark:
While working with all PPA staff members on this investigation to help Virginia do a release of a spirit, an audible snap was heard by Mark and everyone else on the team.  The snap sounded exactly like someone snapping their fingers right near everyone.  The source could not be traced back to any source in the house and did not come from outside.

Stan: Same as above

Don: Same as above

Alison: Same as above. Alison also reported smelling an awful sour stench in the living room that almost made her gag.  The clients were able to confirm that a former resident had died in the living room.

Virginia:  Refer to Psychic Impressions

Psychic Impressions:
When Virginia arrived at this home, she observed a female spirit standing in front of the home with her arms folded saying, “Go”. The name that Virginia associated with this spirit was “Eleanor”.  Virginia also heard a bang and picked up something to do with firemen connection to Eleanor.  During further investigation, Eleanor told Virginia that she was not saying “Go” but told her she was referring to her last name.  The clients confirmed that her last name started with a “Go”

As soon as Virginia walked into the home, Eleanor started speaking about her home and her possessions that were moved around.  This was confirmed by the clients.

During the initial walk-through in the basement, Virginia picked up on a male spirit named “Stan”.  Virginia felt that Stan loved his alcohol, loved to tinker in the basement and loved to do handy work around the home. This also was confirmed by the clients.

During the investigation, Virginia received information that Eleanor died in the living room. The bang that Virginia heard when she first had contact with the spirit of Eleanor and the associated firemen gave explanation to Virginia that when Eleanor died in her living room, the firemen had to break down the door in order to get to her. The bang that Virginia heard was the door being knocked down by the firemen to get in to the house.

As the investigation continued, Virginia picked up another male spirit named “Walter”.  Virginia felt that Walter hung around the living room and used to wear an old fashioned fireman’s uniform.

At the end of the night while beginning to work with releasing the spirits, another spirit named “Peter H.”, who was also a fireman from the same era as Walter, came into the room.  When Virginia asked Peter if that was his correct name, Peter snapped his fingers so that everyone in the room heard the snap.

Conclusion:
During the investigation on this particular date, investigators documented an unknown snapping noise in the living room of the home.  This coincided with Psychic Medium Virginia Centrillo reporting that when she asked a spirit if his name was Peter, he snapped his fingers in response. Being that Virginia was not sure if she heard this snap psychically or audibly, she asked everyone in the room if they heard the snap.  Everyone had. Investigators were also able to identify a potential issue with the furnace located in the basement.  The furnace was emitting a strong odor of burned fuel oil and a hole was found in the vent.  This issue could be the cause of people becoming tired when they come into the home.  The PPA recommends the clients have the furnace checked for leaks and a carbon monoxide test done in the basement.  Investigators were not able to rule out any of the other reported activity and could not dismiss a haunting at this location; however, there is insufficient evidence at this time to physically conclude that a haunting is taking place either.

Metaphysically, Virginia was able to independently confirm the same activity that the clients were reporting and feels that the activity was being caused by three spirits that remained at this location after their deaths.  Virginia believes that she was successful in releasing the spirits and activity in the home should subside.  Virginia feels that Eleanor was very attached to this home and loves the family that resides here now. Once Eleanor gets acclimated to her new level of consciousness, Virginia feels that she will visit from time to time but the family may not  pick up on her being there like they did before.
